one woman, one blog

I've been blogging for almost five years now. It seems like over night. Mostly, I think it shows how time really does start to go faster. I've gone through so many silly and serious times in the time, that I am sad to abandon my old blogging ways, but I'm also excited to start a place that is for me.
In the past I've kept several blogs. One for me, one for friends, one for this, one for that. You know the deal. But lately it just seems like too much work.
So, not that I make New Year's Resolutions, but for a new year I decided that I would attempt to be one woman with one blog. Thus, here is a new view of the roller coaster that is sometimes my life. At least now the ups and downs will all be in one picture. For myself, this is good. The ups will mean more because the downs are evident. The downs will hopefully be less important or startling, because they will be placed in context. For those of you who ride along. There won't be too many surprises.
